Author, Professor, Pilot, Olympian says it all about Tonie Campbell. Once, one of the fastest men in the world over the 110 meter high hurdles, this University of Southern California graduate took those skills all the way to three US Olympic team appearances and an Olympic medal.

Chris competed in Canoe Kayak (K4 1000m) for the USA at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. He also competed and won medals at the 1991 and 1995 Pan American Games. He represented USA at 1990, 1991 and 1995 ICF World Championships. Chris has won many USA Kayaking and Surf Lifesaving National Championship titles. Chris grew up in the UK where he played Rugby and swam competitively. He also enjoyed Lifesaving competition in South Africa and Australia and worked as a seasonal Lifeguard in Wales. He was elected Captain of The Welsh Surf Lifesaving Team in 1986.

Kelly Mitchell, development officer for Point Loma Nazarene University, is a third generation San Diegan and life-time Point Loma resident.

Paul Greer is a Professor in Health and Exercise Science at San Diego City College and has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and 32 years coaching experience. A top San Diego section miler at St. Augustine High School, Paul was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 1995. After high school he went on to become the school record holder for 1500 meters at San Diego State. His 3:42.44 still stands as the best mark in school history.
